About Me
Shayla LaVeaux is a petite powerhouse, standing only five feet and one inch tall. Brought up by her mom, she was a wild kid but had a loving home. When she was hitchhiking to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado for a concert, a stripper gave her a lift and it was just one of the influences that led Shayla to start stripping at age 18.
In 1990, Shayla got married to James Wieser, who would later perform with her under the name Anthony. They owned a striptease company in Denver, and eventually Shayla decided to pose for magazine layouts to drum up business. Soon she traveled with porn starlet Alexis DeVell and her manager Lucky Smith to California, where Shayla entered the hardcore industry. Her first movie,Curious,was released in 1992. Two years later, AVN named her Best New Starlet. She appeared in many Paul Norman movies, acting as “bait” for studios to hire Norman (if they hired him, Shayla would appear in the film) before signing with VCA.
As her career has progressed, Shayla has shown that she has a multitude of talents as evidenced inShayla’s Gang,in which she starred, directed, and produced. AVN recognized her many achievements by inducting her into its Hall of Fame in 2002.
